Rated one of the best areas to live in all of Anne Arundel County, Crofton Maryland is a suburb located between Baltimore, Washington DC, and Annapolis. Residents here have easy access to everything they need from a big city without sacrificing the small-town lifestyle. Crofton is primarily built around Route 3 which makes it quick and easy for residents to everything they need. A planned community, Crofton was completed in 1964. It was originally a gated community located within the Crofton Parkway loop. The gates have since opened and now serve as a symbol that Crofton is an open community. However, Crofton Parkway still encloses the center and now hosts several events every year, including some annual parades. The 3.5-mile track is also a favorite place for walking, biking, and jogging.
